Anomalies --------- The single ingress measurement in today's health report indicates that the HGA rewind still falls about 1 minute before ingress (occultation 22156i, start time 2004/053-04:52:00). We will continue to monitor ingress measurements, but on a more frequent basis. The small amplitude fluctuations in the ADC input level, attributed to solar panel variation, have slowly been getting closer to egress. The +/-0.5 dB fluctuations through day 051 begin about 30 seconds after egress and last for roughly 1 minute. From day 052 onward, the solar panel anomaly lands right on top of egress. Dave Hinson and Joe Twicken report that, although the amplitude variation would not necessarily affect the science quality of the measurements, there is usually an associated frequency anomaly that does affect the science quality of the measurements. The first eight of twelve measurements from DSS 65 on day 047 were lost due to a scripting error (occultation numbers 22088i through 22092e, start times 2004/047-11:28:00 through 2204/047-17:51:00). The first two of nine measurements from DSS 65 on day 055 were lost due to a scripting error (occultation numbers 22188e and 22188i, start times 2004/055-14:18:00 and 2004/055-15:45:00). All five egress measurements from DSS 25 on day 048 and 049 had ADC input levels about 20 dB lower than expected. This may be due to the switch being set to the wrong polarization (LCP instead of RCP). Occultations affected were 22106e through 22110e, with start times 2004/048-21:20:00 through 2004/049-05:11:00. The last egress measurement from DSS 45 on day 049 was a bit short; end of tracking came only 5 minutes after egress (occultation 22113e, with start time 2004/049-11:05:00). The last egress measurement from DSS 25 on day 056 was very short, with end of tracking only about 90 seconds after egress (occultation 22195e, with start time 2004/056-04:02:00).
