Danny Kahan of the Radio Science Systems Group has been investigating. He confirms our observation that the signal remains when MGS is in occultation and that it can be seen simultaneously at two DSN complexes. He has also found the signal present when 2001 Mars Odyssey is occulted, but that it goes away when Mars Express is occulted. The RSSG is summarizing their results and asked that we submit an ISA; we have done so, and it is ISA Z86877. Joe Twicken reports USO frequency anomalies between days 125 and 140. We have looked at average USO temperatures (T-0315) during that interval and find that the USO temperature is slightly higher than during adjacent intervals. We are not aware of unusual spacecraft activity, but have asked Jesse Glance whether he has any explanation.
