The carrier to noise level in these recordings is 30 dB below nominal. They are all lost to science. According to a note from Danny Kahan, both the front end and RSR side have been checked but no obvious sources have been discovered for the problem. The investigation will continue at Canberra today. A similar problem was resolved at Canberra last year (2005/304) when a failed 15V power supply was replaced in the S/X downconverter at DSS 45.
