   SUBJECT: Briefing Message for Mars Global Surveyor.
(MGS) There is a timing problem with the latest DKF/SOE that was sent.

   SCHEDULE:  The following station is scheduled to
support MGS on the date and times noted:

   276 DSS-45 0050Z-1505Z

INFORMATION:
We have a timing error in our ROTO spec advisories in the current dkf. So
for tomorrows ROTO'S
the following messages in the station soe appear as an incorrect time:
276 105702 TRK D45      SPEC ADVISORY [ROTO HAS BEEN PREDICTED TO START AT
THIS TIME, LOS IS EXPECTED]
276 105702 TRK D45      SPEC ADVISORY  [CONSCAN OFF]
and
276 111832 TRK D45      SPEC ADVISORY [ROTO HAS BEEN PREDICTED TO END AT
THIS TIME, AOS IS EXPECTED]
276 111832 TRK D45      SPEC ADVISORY  [RESUME BVR ACQUISITION]
276 111832 TRK D45      SPEC ADVISORY  [CONSCAN ON FOLLOWING AOS]

Actual expected time for the ROTO LOS is: 11:11:54 (not 10:57:02)
Actual expected time for the ROTO AOS is: 11:34:00 (not 11:18:32)
Note that these expected times are approximate and can be off by up to 30
seconds. Sorry for the error. Timing for future ROTOs will be more accurate.

 DATA RECORDS:  LMC Logs will be available on the NIS for post pass
analysis.
