The recording started at 284/19:30:00 and ended at 283/20:35:00. The DSP recording went well. The data is ready to be queried. I recorded 8 RSR data sets per Dick's request: 1, 2, 4, and 8 kHz on one RSR with 16-bit samples; and 1, 2, 4, and 8 kHz on a second with 8-bit samples. All using RS predicts. 27 minutes into the recording I started getting some warning messages which I'm not sure if and how they'll have any affect on the data. If I did try to fix it, that would've put a phase shift in the data, so I decided to continue with the recording. It would actually be interesting to know whether you see anything in the data or not. I have the exact times of the warnings. The ODR was recorded at 5 kHz with 12 bits/sample (real only). The RSR's were recorded at 1, 2, 4 and 8 kHz with 8 bit I/8 bit Q (complex) and with 16 bit I/16 bit Q. The results between RSR and ODR are comparable at all sample rates and with both RSR sample resolutions. The SNR during the recording interval was approximately 47 dB/Hz. It would still be nice to compare the performance of 8 and 16 bit RSR sampling with spacecraft telemetry off (and substantially higher signal level). The Allan deviation calculations for ODR and RSR's are included below. You may also find a postscript file with comparison between 5 kHz (real) ODR and 2 kHz (complex) 8-bit RSR in magellan:/users/z00/USO/adcomp2.ps.
