The new scirpt ran but the new predicts did not load, so the RSR was running with old predicts. There was a signal detected in subchannel 2 (100KHz) but we record subchannel 1 and there was not signal detected there. I tried to login remotely to monitor the pass, but last night something changed and I could not loging unless I'm connected to JPL through the JPL number!!! For the past year and a half I've been connecting using Netzero, and last night things decided to change! I thought it was a software problems, but then this morning I remembered hearing someone saying that they were surprised that I was able to connect to thorn using Netzero, and my luck, that changed last night! Just to make things more difficult for me!! I will have to check with the SAs how to login from Jordan. I think this RSR not idling correctly has been the problem we encountered the most since we started. I know what the problem was (time format in the script) and now I know what works for sure, so we should not have this problem anymore (I hope!). REgards, Aseel p.s. No, I now know how to look :) Whenever we "unverify" the RSR (this is to change the configurations such as predicts and bandwidths), and then "verify" (to run and record) a new data file gets generated. I manually played back the data for the first four since I knew they won't be played back automatically, but I thought the RSR would take the new data file (with new predicts) and realize that's the one it need to play. Guess not! I will playback the remaining data in a couple of minutes. FYI. RSR data per pass get recorded on one data file which included the data and the gaps between measurements. When the "play" command is issued, the RSR recognizes the gaps and only plays back the data. I only need to specify the start time of the first measurement and the end time of the last measurement for the play command. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- From aseel@godzilla.jpl.nasa.gov Wed Dec 19 18:00 PST 2001 Received: from godzilla.jpl.nasa.gov (godzilla.jpl.nasa.gov [137.78.177.120]) by magellan.stanford.edu (8.9.3/8.9.3) with ESMTP id SAA09241 for ; Wed, 19 Dec 2001 18:00:50 -0800 (PST) Received: from localhost (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by godzilla.jpl.nasa.gov (8.9.3/8.9.3) with SMTP id SAA03986 for ; Wed, 19 Dec 2001 18:03:00 -0800 (PST) Message-Id: <200112200203.SAA03986@godzilla.jpl.nasa.gov> Date: Wed, 19 Dec 2001 18:03:00 -0800 (PST) From: Aseel Anabtawi Reply-To: Aseel Anabtawi Subject: Re: 352-21:14:00 thru 353-03:19:00 To: rsimpson@magellan.stanford.edu MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-MD5: dKYBVeUxwPUHnQoXbybYtA== X-Mailer: dtmail 1.2.1 CDE Version 1.2.1 SunOS 5.6 sun4u sparc Content-Type: TEXT/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Length: 728 Status: RO > I just received an e-mail with what appear to be more DSS 63 > occultations. I finished writing a long explanation and then the email crashed. Anyhow, yes, this should've been DSS-15. Remembe yesterday you received a DSS-63 notification with default values, and I thought that I had already filled it out. I filled out DSS-15 instead. Before DSS015 got sent out, I realized that I had DSS-63 info instead, so I changed it except for the DSS part. I'm working on automating this log, but I'm stuck with the times.
