She was setting this up for the last three occultations in today's DSS 15 pass. You may or may not receive an e-mail regarding the data collection on the "new" system. It will be different in using RSR3. We should probably collect the regular data first. If you get an e-mail, feel free to collect the additional data; but let's do it later -- so that thhe "new" files have the odd file names. If you don't get an e-mail, I can run the queries tomorrow. Or, you can edit the rsr_qnql.in files for the appropriate occultations. Just substitute RSR3 for whatever it was during the normal data collection. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- From aseel@airmail.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov Wed Apr 17 17:19:03 2002 Date: Wed, 17 Apr 2002 09:10:09 GMT From: aseel anabtawi To: aseel@rsops2.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov, joe@nova.stanford.edu, kusza@magellan.stanford.edu, rsimpson@magellan.stanford.edu DSS: 15 RSR: RSR3A Subchannel: 1 Orbit Number: 13886 Occultation Sense: i SOE: mm169b.03.tsoe Ground Mode: 1 Uplink Station: -- Sampling Rate: 2K Bit Resolution: 16 Begin Record: 2002/107-00:21:00 End Record: 2002/107-00:32:00 DSS: 15 RSR: RSR3A Subchannel: 1 Orbit Number: 13887 Occultation Sense: i SOE: mm169b.03.tsoe Ground Mode: 1 Uplink Station: -- Sampling Rate: 2K Bit Resolution: 16 Begin Record: 2002/107-02:19:00 End Record: 2002/107-02:29:00 DSS: 15 RSR: RSR3A Subchannel: 1 Orbit Number: 13888 Occultation Sense: i SOE: mm169b.03.tsoe Ground Mode: 1 Uplink Station: -- Sampling Rate: 2K Bit Resolution: 16 Begin Record: 2002/107-04:16:00 End Record: 2002/107-04:27:00 -------------------------------------------------------------------------- From rsimpson@magellan.stanford.edu Wed Apr 17 17:24:49 2002 Received: (from rsimpson@localhost) by magellan.stanford.edu (8.11.6/8.11.6) id g3HE1rD01873; Wed, 17 Apr 2002 07:01:53 -0700 (PDT) Date: Wed, 17 Apr 2002 07:01:53 -0700 (PDT) From: Dick Simpson 723-3525 Message-Id: <200204171401.g3HE1rD01873@magellan.stanford.edu> To: aseel@airmail.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov Subject: RSR3 Cc: kusza@magellan.stanford.edu Content-Length: 77 I see e-mails for both RSR2 and RSR3. I went ahead and investigated the frequency stability of the recordings using the latest NAV trajectory reconstruction (spk_m_020412_OD13829-13917_rec_V1). The results may be found in the tables below. Based on these measurements of Allan Deviation, I also fail to see any significant difference between the performance of RSR2A and RSR3A. Though there was quite a bit of difference in frequency stability from one occultation to the next, there was not any appreciable difference in stability between the two RSR's at any integration time for any of the occultations. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance with this...
