There were two occultations before these; there were no obvious differences between the two RSR's. These four occultations were also captured through DSS 63 using RSR1B (and possibly RSR2B). Kerri says there are some problems with the RSR1B data, but she's withholding judgments pending looks at RSR2B. She's not able to locate RSR2B data on the query server, however. This probably doesn't fall into the "software" category in terms of its being a problem. If it were the new software, I'd expect us to be seeing weird things on both RSR's. But there's definitely something wrong here. This is somewhat reminiscent of beat notes we saw when recording Voyager signals through both DSS 43 and DSS 45 prior to the Neptune encounter. If that were happening here, I'd expect the beat to go to zero at zenith which is about 14:00. Three occultations have high frequency modulation on the carrier, one has modulation at a low frequency. In the last case, the period changes from about 30 s when the carrier appears to about 150 s at ingress. The amplitudes of the modulation are about twice what they were on 2002/152 -- about 1 dB peak-to-peak in the low frequency case (14457i).
