Here's what I got back from Pauline Hwang and Steve Odiorne on this: Pauline: Your correct, looks like there was a goof in the review. No one caught that we forgot to command the HGA for that orbit. It occurred because it was right at the day boundaries. And I was talking with Dean and once in a while MAPGEN doesn't include that boundary orbit. Normally, it is caught in review and fixed, but this time it slipped by. Steve: MAPGEN should have created the appropriate command request and our automated review tool should have caught the missing commands. We're looking into both tools to see what happened. I didn't catch it in the review either. I don't normally review every measurement, but randomly look at different ones. I also didn't catch it in the script. I believe that this is the first time this happens. It is a rare event. I think the s/c people are concerned, but I'm not sure we should write an ISA even though it may be technically appropriate. I've been working with Pauline and other spacecraft people closely, and they are very helpful. It would keep the environment healthier if we don't criticize them with an ISA.
