The DSN configuration codes (which are generated by the DSN schedulers) show what project is using the RSRs. However, if the station or Sal want to run some tests or someone else (like Jim Border) want to collect data, they first check with RSSG to make sure the RSRs are available even if the DSN schedule show that they are. They've all been good about checking with us, but this one time someone didn't. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- From rsimpson@magellan.stanford.edu Sun Feb 9 03:31:13 2003 Received: (from rsimpson@localhost) by magellan.stanford.edu (8.11.6/8.11.6) id h181ThM01387 for kusza; Fri, 7 Feb 2003 17:29:43 -0800 (PST) Date: Fri, 7 Feb 2003 17:29:43 -0800 (PST) From: Dick Simpson 723-3525 Message-Id: <200302080129.h181ThM01387@magellan.stanford.edu> To: kusza@magellan.stanford.edu Subject: USO Tests Content-Length: 327 I saw a message from Aseel about USO test data. These recordings did not include occultations, and permitted the calculation of meaningful Allan deviations at integration times up to approximately two minutes. Results from the processing of these recordings may be found in the tables below. The Allan deviation measurements at the shortest integration times (up to 2 seconds) are worse than we have been seeing in the regular occultation recordings because the SNR was reduced substantially with TLM on. There was no attempt to compensate for HGA motion in the processing of these recordings. ****************************************************************************** Table 1 Estimated USO Frequency (Hz); T = 4.096 sec Orbit 17485 Orbit 17486 8423153056.937 8423153056.934 ****************************************************************************** Table 2 Nominal SNR (dB/Hz) Orbit 17485 Orbit 17486 43 44 ****************************************************************************** Table 3 Orbit 17485: 2003/036 05:49:00-06:07:00 (30360549.RSR) T, sec Allan Deviation 0.512 9.8814e-13 1.024 4.1076e-13 2.048 2.2127e-13 4.096 1.4844e-13 8.192 1.1777e-13 32.768 1.0499e-13 131.072 1.1780e-13 Orbit 17486: 2003/036 06:23:00-06:47:00 (30360623.RSR) T, sec Allan Deviation 0.512 9.7436e-13 1.024 3.9174e-13 2.048 2.3080e-13 4.096 1.7206e-13 8.192 1.8057e-13 32.768 1.5795e-13 131.072 8.7962e-14 ******************************************************************************
