The reason is not clear, but it's most likely a scripting error. I confirmed that the script and predicts file were sent to the station. I also checked the log file which shows "at" jobs executions, and one executed at the expected time for this pass. However, it was very short, so something made it stop. I checked the log files to see if someone else was using the RSR, but it doesn't appear to be the case. One thing I may have done was specifying the wrong SPC in the command line that I use to setup the script to execute, which I've done before. I checked with the RSR group on the possibility of having a command line that would not require me to specify the SPC (since that appears to be my most common scripting error), and they said that they'll work on it. They also suggested that I start using the "-y" option in the command line which would send me email (to my pager) whenever a script does not execute properly or if there are critical errors. I've known about this feature from the beginning but I never used it since I don't always carry my pager (it takes up too much space in my purse, and it's heavier than my cell phone!). hmmm .. I wonder if there's a way to send email to my cell phone. I'll look into that. Sorry about the lost measurements! As you noted, the news we got was about seeking solutions and then about rotating the elevation encoder. But nothing that definitively closed the ISA. This may be another case in which the repairs were done but communication back to the originator failed; and we now (for whatever real reason) can agree that the passage of time has brought us to a point where we can agree on closure. Which is good, because now (and for the past 3 months) DSS 54 seems to be misbehaving. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- From jtwicken@stanford.edu Thu Mar 13 20:38:41 2003 Received: from nova.Stanford.EDU (nova [171.64.90.123]) by magellan.stanford.edu (8.11.6/8.11.6) with ESMTP id h2E4ceZ02917 for ; Thu, 13 Mar 2003 20:38:40 -0800 (PST) Received: from neptune.Stanford.EDU (neptune.Stanford.EDU [171.64.90.149]) by nova.Stanford.EDU (8.9.3/8.9.3) with ESMTP id UAA25760; Thu, 13 Mar 2003 20:39:39 -0800 (PST) Received: from neptune.Stanford.EDU (joe@localhost) by neptune.Stanford.EDU (8.11.6/8.11.6) with ESMTP id h2E4dbI10961; Thu, 13 Mar 2003 20:39:37 -0800 (PST) Message-Id: <200303140439.h2E4dbI10961@neptune.Stanford.EDU> X-Authentication-Warning: neptune.Stanford.EDU: joe owned process doing -bs X-Mailer: exmh version 2.5 07/13/2001 with nmh-1.0.4 From: Joe Twicken To: hinson@nova.stanford.edu, joe@nova.stanford.edu, rsimpson@nova.stanford.edu Subject: Re: RSR Notice: /users/z08/procRSR/30721709 In-reply-to: Your message of "Thu, 13 Mar 2003 09:22:27 PST." <200303131722.h2DHMR017740@magellan.stanford.edu> References: <200303131722.h2DHMR017740@magellan.stanford.edu> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Date: Thu, 13 Mar 2003 20:39:37 -0800 Content-Length: 665 Status: RO (1) There was no HGA motion compensation for these recordings >30630411.RSR p 54XR1IRXN101 54XR1IC1XX01 54XR1IF1S101 54XR1IS1T101 54XR1IS1T201 54XR1IS1T301 54XR1IS1T401 54XR1IS1T501 >30630609.RSR p 54XR1IRXN101 54XR1IC1XX01 54XR1IF1S101 54XR1IS1T101 54XR1IS1T201 54XR1IS1T301 54XR1IS1T401 54XR1IS1T501 >30630806.RSR p 54XR1IRXN101 54XR1IC1XX01 54XR1IF1S101 54XR1IS1T101 54XR1IS1T201 54XR1IS1T301 54XR1IS1T401 54XR1IS1T501 >30631202.RSR p 25XR1IRXN101 25XR1IC1XX01 25XR1IF1S101 25XR1IS1T101 25XR1IS1T201 25XR1IS1T301 25XR1IS1T401 25XR1IS1T501 >30631359.RSR p 25XR1IRXN101 25XR1IC1XX01 25XR1IF1S101 25XR1IS1T101 25XR1IS1T201 25XR1IS1T301 25XR1IS1T401 25XR1IS1T501
