A few months ago, the MGS NOPE agreed to develop a procedure for Radio Science to be notified in case of a real-time MGS DSN coverage change, most likely by the Ops Chiefs (with the understanding that the Ops Chiefs will not be held responsible if, for some reason, RS was not contacted and data were lost). I provided the NOPE with my contact information, but it seems that the information was not passed on to the Ops Chiefs (they checked their list of contacts, and Radio Science is not on the list).
