Canberra has been trying to bring it back up but has not been able to. The following Playbacks will be lost: Partition 7 Playbacks on DOY 349 Partition 1 and 2 Playbacks on DOY 350 No uplink was lost (DSS-34 was on a MSPA with ODY) We also just found out that DSS-14 will NOT return to service until near the end of December. Good news is that MGS only has two DSS-14 tracks during that period. We already replaced this Thursday's DSS-14 pass with DSS-26. Unfortunately, MEX and ODY had a lot of coverage on DSS-14, so they will be approaching MGS with proposals. We will send out updates as we know them! The MGS pass was at 34 was cancelled (not replaced by another antenna). We attempted a recording (occultations 25787i, 25789i, & 25790i), since Canberra has been working to restore operations, but we did not get any signal. All times are in ERT. The last two measurements at DSS-15 were recorded using RSR1 and RSR2 simultaneously due to problems with RSR1 fan that were reported to us shortly after the second egress measurement. We were told that the fan problem should not affect the data quality, and that we could continue using RSR1 until the end of the pass when the station personnel were planning on fixing the problem. We decided to record data on RSR2 as well for backup. Both data sets will be available for Stanford to query. Other than that, everything went well. All data were successfully acquired.
