Temperature variations would have a small effect on the frequency of the USO; the MOLA tests may show up as a slight offset in the USO frequency over a few days in a long-term plot of frequency vs time. Since Radio Science is continually updating its estimate of the USO frequency, I would not expect the MOLA tests to have any impact on the QUALITY of the radio science results. Only if the stability of the USO were affected on times scales of fractions of seconds to minutes would the occultations be in jeopardy.
