An ISA has been opened. Initial condition for the MGS Spacecraft Processor-2 (SCP-2) SAFE Mode entry was: MGS nominal mapping with SCP-2 in control and SCP-1 in SAFE Mode (from a previous anomaly). MGS was receiving a MOC NIPC uplink when SCP-2 experienced/detected an anomaly and "locked up"; resulting in the S/C autonomously being placed into SAFE Mode. LMA has successfully rebooted SCP-2 into SAFE Mode and is performing memory readouts and analysis in accordance with the MGS SAFE Mode Recovery Procedure. MGS is sun-coning with a rotation period of 100 minutes. Downlink consists of selected engineering data at 10 bps. Uplink is via LGA.
