Subject: MGS Status November 7, 2006

The spacecraft team is still attempting to get a lock on MGS.  Some
signals have been heard over the last 48 hours that could be MGS but
it is not certain.  Since the last data seen indicated a solar array
error, it is assumed MGS is in safe mode and possibly operating on
low power mode with only one solar array operational.

The team has sent commands to reboot the processor.  A command to
power off the MOLA heater is planned to be sent later today.
Powering off the MOLA heater will alleviate a power issue if there is
one.
