MEX took an image of MGS on Saturday (12/9) and our understanding is that the image came down on Sunday (12/10). As soon as we hear anything, we'll email to this distribution list and potentially call a meeting to discuss results. 2. Tentative - MRO may use the star tracker to "look" for MGS in the near future. 3. DSN coverage is sporadic and we will continue to use all assigned coverage to "look" for signals in both the Ch 20 and 16 frequencies. 4. MGS Anomaly Discussion from last Wednesday (12/6) resulted in a good exchange of information and discussions led to several action items. (see below) 5. Odyssey SMode recovery is almost complete and should not require "taking" any additional DSN coverage from MGS. ** Commanding: 1. Increment the CMode Sun-Com-Pwr (SCP) targets by 45 degrees. - in progress - scheduled completion for this Saturday (12/16) 2. Increment the SMode SCP targets by 45 degrees - STL complete, reviews in progress - Command Conference after Thursday's (12/14) Plans and Status. 3. Hardware Commands to reboot SCPs - built - Command Conference next week with scheduled radiation to follow item #2. ** NEXT TAGUP = Tuesday (12/12) at 09:00 MST, meet-me # = 818-393-4544 ** Items from the Wednesday (12/6) MGS Anomaly Discussion Meeting: 1. Locate ISA on BUS swap that occurred over a year ago. (Kyle/SCT) 2. Complete timeline (FastTrack schedule) showing commanding. (Kyle/SCT) 3. Locate block diagrams for spacecraft and telecom in particular. (Kyle/SCT) 4. Locate LG antenna pattern. (Kyle/Telecom) 5. Identify server or common area to maintain spacecraft information not only for the flight team, but others interested in looking into the anomaly. (Maria) 6. Update fault tree. (Maria/Kyle/SCT) 7. Look into cable anomaly on SAM side that could cause sun sensor on SAM to "short/stick" in a high state. (Kyle/SCT) - STL test - Code logic on selecting sun sensor heads & declaring a head bad. Thanks to all that attended last Wednesday's Anomaly meeting at JPL! We appreciate your time and effort to help us digest the data/information and provide ideas/thoughts into failure scenarios, paths, etc. ** Thanks. - Kyle Kyle Martin Lockheed Martin Space Exploration Systems Mission Operations - Systems/RTO Team Chief 303-977-6871 work 720-521-7535 pager 303-977-7515 fax Kyle.w.martin@lmco.com
