Data starting 1999/135-04:50:00 have good signal for about 2 minutes after egress. The the signal disappears in a pattern that suggests that either the ground antenna or spacecraft antenna went off point. The following occultation (start time 1999/135-06:11:00) contains only noise. There is a corresponding gap in DSN Monitor data. Data starting 1999/134-18:25:00 have ragged carrier amplitude (+/-0.5 dB), probably from low elevation angle. Data starting at the following times have good surface echos: 1999/134-22:57:00 1999/135-06:47:00 1999/135-08:45:00 Analysis -------- Joe Twicken has completed additional work with the USO frequency and stability. His report: I have estimated the USO frequency and Allan deviation for two recent occultations. The data were recorded on the day that normal mapping operations resumed. The occultations were 717e and 717i, recorded at DSS 34 on 1999/126. The SNR was approximately 61 dB/Hz. I did not account for motion of the HGA phase center when making the stability estimates. The duration of the baseline from which I estimated the Allan deviation was approximately four minutes.
