Missing records in data starting 1999/136-07:41:00 occur well before the ingress occultation and will probably have little impact on analysis. The signature has peak-to-peak amplitude of 0.1-0.2 mm/sec and a period of 19-20 sec. This signal is visible in data from 11-13 May. Bill will be reviewing data at least as far back as HGA deployment to see whether it is a recent occurrence. Angus McMechen (LMA) later replied to a query from Trish Priest on this subject as follows: The 19 to 20 seconds is interesting because there is a mystery 0.056 Hz mode (approx. 18 sec) which has been screwing up the TES data. They have written an MCR requesting that solar array auto- tracking be disabled temporarily so that they can see if that's what is causing their problems. The leading theory is that the SAM panel (the broken one) is introducing this mode as the array auto-tracks. They may eventually request that the arrays only be moved a couple of times an orbit which would benefit you as well. John Callas, representing TES, has submitted the MCR. But John indicates that the TES symptoms are more indicative of electronic noise or interference when the solar panels are continuously tracking. He did not mention an 18 sec oscillation.
