Data starting at 1999/352T13:51:00 and 1999/352T14:17:00 have a periodic amplitude modulation on the carrier. The modulation is about 0.7 dB peak-to- peak (in power) and has a period of about 7 sec. Data starting 1999/353T21:40:00 and 1999/353T23:11:00 were lost to a SPA-R initialization failure. Data starting 1999/354T05:04:00 appear to have been collected using an incorrect ground configuration (82 Hz filter); no spacecraft signals were captured. All ingress occultations before orbit 3500 appear to have been corrupted by the HGA rewind activity which occurs simultaneously. Ingress occultations beginning with orbit 3500 (1999/354T01:08:00) may be partially corrupted; it is difficult to tell from the quick look plots. Most of the occultations captured at DSS 25 have random gain changes of up to 0.7 dB. This is the same problem that was noted in the last report (HEA9351A.TXT). Most ingress occultations show at least a hint of surface echo; most egress occultations do not.
