Trish Priest reports that the occultation was lost because the DSP did not enter run mode. It was also mentioned yesterday that the occultation should have been recorded at DSS 65. That is incorrect; the occultation should have been recorded at DSS 15. The signal level in the 2000/108T07:54:00 recording at DSS 65 has a small modulation with an amplitude of +/- 0.15 dB and a period of approximately one minute. There is a similar modulation in the first half of the 2000/108T09:52:00 recording as DSS 65. DSN predicts were used for the recording of occultation 4964i at DSS 15 (2000/108T15:45:00). There is a downward slope in the noise level in the recording of occultation 4968i (2000/108T23:35:00) at DSS 15. Data from occultation 4973i at DSS 65 (start time 2000/109T09:23:00) have frequent, short dropouts. These appear in one second average power vs time plots as drops of up to 1 dB.
