On April 12 we passed 4600. These numbers include both aerobraking (1089 measurements) and Mapping. Included among the new Ancillary Data below are three more planning OPTG files (original names optg_m_000410-010201_gtw50, optg_m_000410-010201_gtw55, and optg_m_000410-010201_gtw62). Together with files received last week, this brings to five the variations in hand. Each covers the same time interval but with different assumptions about the Ground Track Walk over 88 orbits. In optg_m_000410-010201_gtw58 (one of the files received last week) the ground track is 58 km east after 88 orbits; in the other file received last week (optg_m_000410-010201_gtw65) the ground track is 65 km east. According to Trish Priest these files are being produced primarily for MOC. But some of our gravity investigators may also be interested. Unless someone wishes to protest, however, we will cease collecting these GTW files simply to reduce the burden on our disk space. The carrier moved rapidly to higher frequencies, then returned to the center. Cause for the anomaly is unknown. Data from occultation 5052i (DSS 25) actually began at 2000/115T20:18:00 but we resubmitted the query to start at 20:19:00 so as to avoid a 'glitch' seen in the original data shortly after 20:18:00. Data from DSS 45 (occultations 5056i and 5057i, start times 2000/116T 04:09:00 and 06:06:00, respectively) were collected with the wrong attenuator settings. The analog-to-digital converters were saturated when the carrier was present, and the data are not useful for science. SPC 40 has two DSPs; in this case, DSP-2 was substituted for DSP-1 and the needed adjustments were not made. Data from occultation 5062i (DSS 65, start time 2000/116T15:55:00) ended about 43 seconds earlier than expected.
