PDS_VERSION_ID = PDS3 RECORD_TYPE = STREAM OBJECT = TEXT PUBLICATION_DATE = 2000-06-16 NOTE = "MGS RST Instrument Health Report HEA0168A.TXT" END_OBJECT = TEXT END Errata ====== The following comment appeared at the end of the section "MOLA POD Team Orbit Solutions" in yesterday's report (HEA0167A.TXT). It should have appeared at the end of the section "Ancillary Data" -- These is a "Version 2" file -- NAIF kernel derived from telemetry queries 10 days after real time. The "Version 1" files were based on two-day old telemetry. In several recent cases we have noted apparent problems with carrier frequency stability or assumed that DSN predicts were being used during data collection. Subsequent analysis (or checking of station logs) has indicated that our interpretation of smearing in the frequency domain has been incorrect. Many of these problems have eventually been traced to POCA problems; the DSPs at both SPC 10 and SPC 60 have been down for repairs in the past 6 weeks. At SPC 60, the problems seem to have cleared up; that is not the case at SPC 10, though the most recent two occultations were OK. The table below lists these problem occultations since the beginning of May. Figure Caption ============== HEA0168A.PS1: Figure shows daily average USO temperature (T-0315) versus time since the beginning of MGS Mapping. Data values were obtained from the current Engineering Channel Summary file (9068xxx.ECS). Figures ======= Plot(s) illustrate some of the points made in the text. Each plot is a PostScript file, created and printable on our SOPC. For report text file HEAydddC.TXT Figure N will be labeled HEAydddC.PSN and sent as the N+1st e-mail message of a set. We assume that you can strip off the e-mail headers and either display or print copies of the figures on a machine in your area. People who have indicated that they cannot handle these files by e-mail are not included in the e-mail distribution of figures.
