We have been able to bring the software up and master volumes; but we have not actually been able to write anything to CD. Jim is looking into re-installing all of the GEAR software. We received a pair of messages from Gene Brower yesterday warning about potentially corrupted data from queries to the telemetry distribution system (TDS) at JPL. So far as we can tell, no corrupted data have reached Stanford but we continue to be watchful. Transmitter problems at DSS 25 forced a swap to DSS 15 after 7472i. Occultations 7473i and 7474i (start times 2000/313-15:59:00 and 17:57:00) were collected at DSS 15 using DSN tuning predictions. Occultations 7475i and 7476i (start times 2000/313-19:54:00 and 21:52:00) were lost at DSS 15 because of DSP problems. Data from occultations 7475i and 7476i (start times 2000/313-19:54:00 and 21:52:00) were also scheduled for collection at DSS 43. On the first, attenuator levels were set incorrectly and the data were lost because the analog-to-digital converters saturated. The attenuators were adjusted prior to 7476i, then reset after recording began. We have delayed our query start time so the early part of the recording (when levels were still too high) has been excised. About 140 s of data were thrown out, but this should not impact the use of the remaining data for science. Data from occultation 7483i (DSS 65, start time 2000/314-11:36:00) have a 10 dB dropout about 35s before ingress. This may affect the utility of these data for science. Cause of the dropout is unknown. Queries for data from DSS 25 on 2000/314 were interrupted by system work on the query server (see note above under Miscellaneous). We plan to report on those data tomorrow.
