The second query returned the same number of records as the first. The implication is that the data acquisition equipment (DSP) was responsible for the data loss rather than the GDS. Aseel offered to request retransmission of the other four occultations for which there were problems; but we do not have the time to make comparisons, so have declined. Miscellaneous ============= Because of the holiday weekend, this is the first report since HEA0327A.TXT. Data from DSS 65 and DSS 25 passes on 2000/328 were not available from the Mgs_CDR_QueryServer until we called Data Control for assistance. Such interruptions in data flow have become considerably more common since the E1.0 software upgrade. Jim Whitman installed a new SOPC (mgrsb) and CD writer this morning. The sole purpose of the new machine is to create archival CDs. He also installed a new 18-GB disk on the old SOPC (mgrs), providing more storage for files accumulated as a result of the E1.0 upgrade. We are rearranging the disk partitions/files on mgrs, then will address the new CD writer.
