This problem was not discovered until after yesterday's report (HEA1029A.TXT) had been distributed. This is similar to problems we reported in acquiring data from 2001/024 (see HEA1026A.TXT), where we could not get data beyond about 08:09 on 2001/024 -- even after many calls to Data Control. Apparently the Spacecraft Team has had similar problems. Boris Semenov has advised that 2001/024 and 027 CK files (our data type TCK) have been reissued -- unfortunately under the same file name, so our data collection software wouldn't automatically pick them up. In the process of picking up the new TCK files, we have also discovered that the solar array files (our data type SAK) were reissued. From the quick-look processing, it appears the occultation occurred at 05:08:57; this may be too close for the data to be processed for occultation profiles. Curiously, the record numbers for the data starting at 05:03:00 are consistent with the DSP's having run continuously since recording started at 03:06:00. We confirmed this by successfully querying for additional data between 04:04:00 and 04:05:00. Data starting 07:01:00 have record numbers beginning with 1, indicating the DSP was restarted after occultation 8483i. Data from occultations 8483i (DSS 54, start time 2001/030-05:03:00) and 8485i (DSS 63, start time 2001/030-08:59:00) have strong surface echoes.
