The filter for XRCP would not switch to filter 3; it was filter 2. Since XRCP and XLCP are the same for most MGS passes, I switched to XLCP and recorded the occultation. The DSP was configured and recording beginning at 06:11:54. Late, but there was a surface echo. -Trish ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- NOTE from RAS: 21 May 2000 Data don't look normal, though the occultation was clearly captured. Tried starting the query at several times; each came back with the RIV field in the DSP header showing the 415 Hz filter even though it looks like the 2000 Hz filter in spectra. But there's is odd ringing in the rolloff area at each extreme. A good try by the Ops team, but perhaps not quite good enough to make the science cut. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------- From ppriest@airmail.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov Sat May 20 00:00 PDT 2000 Received: from thorn.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov (thorn.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov [137.228.90.10]) by magellan.stanford.edu (8.9.3/8.9.3) with SMTP id AAA08794; Sat, 20 May 2000 00:00:09 -0700 (PDT) Received: by thorn.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov; id AAA03887; Sat, 20 May 2000 00:00:39 -0700 Received: from airmail.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov(137.228.96.12) by thorn.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov via smap (V4.2) id xma003580; Sat, 20 May 00 00:00:10 -0700 Received: from mmrs.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov (mmrs.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov [137.228.136.10]) by airmail.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov (8.9.3+Sun/8.9.3) with ESMTP id AAA01454; Sat, 20 May 2000 00:00:09 -0700 (PDT) Received: (from ppriest@localhost) by mmrs.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov (8.8.8+Sun/8.8.8) id HAA02842; Sat, 20 May 2000 07:00:09 GMT Date: Sat, 20 May 2000 07:00:09 GMT From: Patricia Priest Message-Id: <200005200700.HAA02842@mmrs.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov> DSS: 45 Apparently-To: Apparently-To: Content-Type: text Content-Length: 277 Status: RO Orbit: 5362i SOE: mm040b.01.tsoe Begin Record: 141/04:11:00 End Record: 141/04:18:00 Last Attenuation Change: SNT: Elevation Angle: Orbit: 5363i SOE: mm040b.01.tsoe Begin Record: 141/06:08:00 End Record: 141/06:16:00 Last Attenuation Change: SNT: Elevation Angle: -------------------------------------------------------------------------- From ppriest@airmail.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov Sun May 21 00:16 PDT 2000 Received: from thorn.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov (thorn.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov [137.228.90.10]) by magellan.stanford.edu (8.9.3/8.9.3) with SMTP id AAA15646; Sun, 21 May 2000 00:16:16 -0700 (PDT) Received: by thorn.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov; id AAA07523; Sun, 21 May 2000 00:16:48 -0700 Received: from airmail.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov(137.228.96.12) by thorn.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov via smap (V4.2) id xma006984; Sun, 21 May 00 00:15:56 -0700 Received: from mmrs.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov (mmrs.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov [137.228.136.10]) by airmail.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov (8.9.3+Sun/8.9.3) with ESMTP id AAA19720; Sun, 21 May 2000 00:15:55 -0700 (PDT) Received: (from ppriest@localhost) by mmrs.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov (8.8.8+Sun/8.8.8) id HAA03396; Sun, 21 May 2000 07:15:56 GMT Date: Sun, 21 May 2000 07:15:56 GMT From: Patricia Priest Message-Id: <200005210715.HAA03396@mmrs.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov> DSS: 25 Apparently-To: Apparently-To: Content-Type: text Content-Length: 1373 Status: R Orbit: 5369i SOE: mm040b.01.tsoe Begin Record: 141/17:54:00 End Record: 141/18:01:00 Last Attenuation Change: SNT: Elevation Angle: Orbit: 5370e SOE: mm040b.01.tsoe Begin Record: 141/18:38:00 End Record: 141/18:47:00 Last Attenuation Change: SNT: Elevation Angle: Orbit: 5370i SOE: mm040b.01.tsoe Begin Record: 141/19:52:00 End Record: 141/19:59:00 Last Attenuation Change: SNT: Elevation Angle: Orbit: 5371e SOE: mm040b.01.tsoe Begin Record: 141/20:35:00 End Record: 141/20:44:00 Last Attenuation Change: SNT: Elevation Angle: Orbit: 5371i SOE: mm040b.01.tsoe Begin Record: 141/21:50:00 End Record: 141/21:57:00 Last Attenuation Change: SNT: Elevation Angle: Orbit: 5372e SOE: mm040b.01.tsoe Begin Record: 141/22:33:00 End Record: 141/22:42:00 Last Attenuation Change: SNT: Elevation Angle: Orbit: 5372i SOE: mm040b.01.tsoe Begin Record: 141/23:47:00 End Record: 141/23:55:00 Last Attenuation Change: SNT: Elevation Angle: Orbit: 5373e SOE: mm040b.01.tsoe Begin Record: 142/00:31:00 End Record: 142/00:40:00 Last Attenuation Change: SNT: Elevation Angle: Orbit: 5373i SOE: mm040b.01.tsoe Begin Record: 142/01:45:00 End Record: 142/01:52:00 Last Attenuation Change: SNT: Elevation Angle: Orbit: 5374e SOE: mm040b.01.tsoe Begin Record: 142/02:28:00 End Record: 142/02:37:00 Last Attenuation Change: SNT: Elevation Angle: -------------------------------------------------------------------------- From trish@rodan.jpl.nasa.gov Sun May 21 13:57 PDT 2000 Received: from godzilla.jpl.nasa.gov (godzilla.jpl.nasa.gov [137.78.177.120]) by magellan.stanford.edu (8.9.3/8.9.3) with ESMTP id NAA05908 for ; Sun, 21 May 2000 13:57:55 -0700 (PDT) Received: from 137.78.177.117 (trish-mac.jpl.nasa.gov [137.78.177.117]) by godzilla.jpl.nasa.gov (8.9.3/8.9.3) with SMTP id NAA21763 for ; Sun, 21 May 2000 13:58:25 -0700 (PDT) Message-Id: <200005212058.NAA21763@godzilla.jpl.nasa.gov> Date: 21 May 00 14:01:24 -0700 From: Trish Priest Subject: RE: Input for Monday Health Report To: "Dick Simpson 723-3525" X-Mailer: QuickMail Pro 1.5.4 (Mac) X-Priority: 3 Reply-To: Trish Priest MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-Ascii" Content-Length: 951 Status: R Reply to: RE: Input for Monday Health Report I must have forgotten to warn you that DSS 54 and 65 on DOY 141 where given up for a GLL Jupiter occultation.
