The RMS values were ranging between Bs and Fs. For 8185i, Elias made attenuation changes at 20:32:32 and then at 20:33:33, but that still didn't make a difference. I doubt that this is a DSP problem, so I'm wondering if bad weather caused this. -Aseel -------------------------------------------------------------------------- From rsimpson Sun Jan 7 13:15 PST 2001 Received: (from rsimpson@localhost) by magellan.stanford.edu (8.9.3/8.9.3) id NAA12234; Sun, 7 Jan 2001 13:15:46 -0800 (PST) Date: Sun, 7 Jan 2001 13:15:46 -0800 (PST) From: Dick Simpson 723-3525 Message-Id: <200101072115.NAA12234@magellan.stanford.edu> To: aseel@godzilla.jpl.nasa.gov, elias.barbinis@jpl.nasa.gov, rsimpson, tim.smith@jpl.nasa.gov Subject: 2001/005 at DSS 34 Cc: joe@neptune.stanford.edu Content-Type: text Content-Length: 463 Status: RO The data from DSS 34 will not be useful for science. A carrier signal appears to be present but it badly saturated the A/D converters. Aseel mentioned some problems with the signal level jumping around. There may be times when the A/D was not saturated (it would have been 6-8 dB below the normal levels on the first occultation). But the majority of the recording of the first occultation was saturated, and all of the second occultation was saturated. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- From joe@neptune.stanford.edu Tue Jan 30 10:55 PST 2001 Received: from neptune.Stanford.EDU (neptune [171.64.90.149]) by magellan.stanford.edu (8.9.3/8.9.3) with ESMTP id KAA23277 for ; Tue, 30 Jan 2001 10:55:16 -0800 (PST) Received: (from joe@localhost) by neptune.Stanford.EDU (8.9.3/8.9.3) id KAA15345; Tue, 30 Jan 2001 10:55:15 -0800 (PST) Message-ID: X-Mailer: XFMail 1.2 [p0] on Solaris X-Priority: 3 (Normal) Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit MIME-Version: 1.0 In-Reply-To: <200101301834.KAA20102@magellan.stanford.edu> Date: Tue, 30 Jan 2001 10:55:15 -0800 (PST) Sender: joe@neptune.stanford.edu From: Joe Twicken To: joe@nova.stanford.edu, rsimpson@magellan.stanford.edu, hinson@nova.stanford.edu Subject: RE: ODR Notice: /users/z05/procODR/10301819 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Length: 1122 Status: RO (1) The Allan deviation was very high for the following recordings: 10050646.ODR (8.5e-13 at 3.2 seconds) and 10050844.ODR (8.0e-13 at 3.2 seconds) (2) There was no HGA motion compensation for these recordings On 30-Jan-01 Joe Twicken 723-3597 wrote: > 10050448.ODR p 65XRXIR1R201 65XRXIC1XX01 65XR1IF1S101 65XR1IS1T101 > 65XR1IS1T201 65XR1IS1T301 65XR1IS1T401 65XR1IS1T501 > 10050646.ODR p 65XRXIR1R201 65XRXIC1XX01 65XR1IF1S101 65XR1IS1T101 > 65XR1IS1T201 65XR1IS1T301 65XR1IS1T401 65XR1IS1T501 > 10050844.ODR p 65XRXIR1R201 65XRXIC1XX01 65XR1IF1S101 65XR1IS1T101 > 65XR1IS1T201 65XR1IS1T301 65XR1IS1T401 65XR1IS1T501 > 10051041.ODR p 25XRXIR1R201 25XRXIC1XX01 25XR1IF1S101 25XR1IS1T101 > 25XR1IS1T201 25XR1IS1T301 25XR1IS1T401 25XR1IS1T501 > 10051239.ODR p 25XRXIR1R201 25XRXIC1XX01 25XR1IF1S101 25XR1IS1T101 > 25XR1IS1T201 25XR1IS1T301 25XR1IS1T401 25XR1IS1T501 > 10051437.ODR p 25XRXIR1R201 25XRXIC1XX01 25XR1IF1S101 25XR1IS1T101 > 25XR1IS1T201 25XR1IS1T301 25XR1IS1T401 25XR1IS1T501 > 10051635.ODR p 25XRXIR1R201 25XRXIC1XX01 25XR1IF1S101 25XR1IS1T101 > 25XR1IS1T201 25XR1IS1T301 25XR1IS1T401 25XR1IS1T501 -------------------------------------------------------------------------- From joe@neptune.stanford.edu Fri Nov 9 17:37 PST 2001 Received: from neptune.Stanford.EDU (neptune [171.64.90.149]) by magellan.stanford.edu (8.9.3/8.9.3) with ESMTP id RAA24924 for ; Fri, 9 Nov 2001 17:37:07 -0800 (PST) Received: (from joe@localhost) by neptune.Stanford.EDU (8.9.3/8.9.3) id RAA22040; Fri, 9 Nov 2001 17:34:04 -0800 (PST) Message-ID: X-Mailer: XFMail 1.2 [p0] on Solaris X-Priority: 3 (Normal) Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit MIME-Version: 1.0 In-Reply-To: <200111100124.RAA24213@magellan.stanford.edu> Date: Fri, 09 Nov 2001 17:34:04 -0700 (PST) Sender: joe@neptune.stanford.edu From: Joe Twicken To: joe@nova.stanford.edu, rsimpson@magellan.stanford.edu, hinson@nova.stanford.edu Subject: RE: ODR Notice: /users/z18/procODR/13140053 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Length: 1213 Status: RO (1) Reprocessed with Goddard trajectory (2) The 10050646.ODR recording is fine.
