However ... The first measurement (8488i) had very low RMS values (not sure it'll be of use to science). The first thing that came to mind was that since the last SPC-40 pass was over DSS 34, the I/F switch did not switch correctly. Following the measurement, the I/F switch was switched to BWG and back to HEF again, and that corrected the problem. Elias reported that the signal levels for the next measurement (8489i) were back to normal. 8490i had POCA errors between 18:48:28 and 18:48:38, so the data may be corrupted. Following the measurement, the station did some fixes. The fourth measurement was OK. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- From aseel@godzilla.jpl.nasa.gov Tue Jan 30 23:06 PST 2001 Received: from godzilla.jpl.nasa.gov (godzilla.jpl.nasa.gov [137.78.177.120]) by magellan.stanford.edu (8.9.3/8.9.3) with ESMTP id XAA13351 for ; Tue, 30 Jan 2001 23:06:34 -0800 (PST) Received: from localhost (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by godzilla.jpl.nasa.gov (8.9.3/8.9.3) with SMTP id XAA20114 for ; Tue, 30 Jan 2001 23:06:35 -0800 (PST) Message-Id: <200101310706.XAA20114@godzilla.jpl.nasa.gov> Date: Tue, 30 Jan 2001 23:06:34 -0800 (PST) From: Aseel Anabtawi Reply-To: Aseel Anabtawi Subject: Re: MGS RST Inst Rpt HEA1030A.TXT To: rsimpson@magellan.stanford.edu MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-MD5: Cn54EAT1i1HL8uanUJV27A== X-Mailer: dtmail 1.2.1 CDE Version 1.2.1 SunOS 5.6 sun4u sparc Content-Type: TEXT/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Length: 1089 Status: RO Sent to "data."
