DSS 24 is in the LPM configuration, so we did not collect data at that station. In order to collect data from DSS 42, we would have had to have the station set up the MMR by hand. I forgot to ask the NOPE to send a briefing message to the station about this (sorry), so we did not collect data for that pass. This means that there will be no data for: DSS 24 - 1358i, 1359e DSS 42 - 1363i, 1364e, 1364i, 1365e There is one more DSS 24 pass in the gravity cal period but no other DSS 42 passes. We had problems with DSP1 at SPC40. However, there was a large overlap period between DSS15 and DSS45, and I was able to use the DSP at DSS 15 while they repaired the one at DSS 45. The DSP was ready barely in time for occultation 1361i (041/16:40). I did not have time to set the attenuation correctly, so there may be clipping. Also, there is less baseline than usual. -Trish -------------------------------------------------------------------------- From trish@godzilla.jpl.nasa.gov Fri Feb 12 11:27:33 1999 Received: from godzilla.jpl.nasa.gov (godzilla.jpl.nasa.gov [137.78.177.120]) by magellan.Stanford.EDU (8.8.5/8.8.3) with ESMTP id LAA21986 for ; Fri, 12 Feb 1999 11:27:32 -0800 (PST) Received: from rodan.jpl.nasa.gov (rodan.jpl.nasa.gov [137.78.177.110]) by godzilla.jpl.nasa.gov (8.8.8+Sun/8.8.5) with ESMTP id LAA11854 for ; Fri, 12 Feb 1999 11:28:08 -0800 (PST) Received: from 137.78.177.117 (trish-mac.jpl.nasa.gov [137.78.177.117]) by rodan.jpl.nasa.gov (8.8.5/8.8.5) with SMTP id LAA19795 for ; Fri, 12 Feb 1999 11:28:08 -0800 (PST) Message-Id: <199902121928.LAA19795@rodan.jpl.nasa.gov> Date: 12 Feb 99 11:30:47 -0800 From: Trish Priest Subject: RE: Lost Data To: "Dick Simpson 723-3525" X-Mailer: QuickMail Pro 1.5.4 (Mac) X-Priority: 3 Reply-To: Trish Priest MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-Ascii" Content-Length: 1599 Status: R Reply to: RE: Lost Data See below. Usually, if we are here we just try running again, and it usually works. But if we are not here . . . I have a call in to Sal. I don't know why. The spcserver restarted itself, as it is supposed to do, but the DSP was no longer in the link for the remainder of the pass. It kept configuring itself to no avail all night.
