The attenuation was too low, and the A/Ds were saturating, so I had to change the attenuation during the egress measurement. The data will probably be useless. I estimated the Allan deviation for the ODR's from occultations 1531e and 1532e, recorded at DSS34 on 1999/055. The SNR in both cases was approximately 57 dB/Hz. There was less than 3 minutes of baseline in each case after the ionosphere was encountered, so there are very few samples from which to estimate the frequency stability (particularly at the longer integration times). I used the spk_i_990222_OD1509-1578_rec_V1 file to steer the data, and the orbit reconstructions were actually pretty good. The results were: t, sec AD, 1531e AD, 1532e 0.4096 4.2919e-13 3.1004e-12 0.8192 2.8288e-13 2.9923e-13 1.6384 2.7867e-13 3.4119e-13 3.2768 2.7672e-13 3.0225e-13 6.5536 3.0345e-13 2.3571e-13 26.2144 4.8763e-13 3.2571e-13 I also estimated the Allan deviation for the ODR's from occultations 22e and 23e, recorded at DSS34 on 1999/069. These were recorded after the TWTA temperature began to drop. The SNR was approximately 57-58 dB/Hz. For these egress recordings, there was just over two minutes of useful baseline. I first tried to use the spk_m_990309_OD000-060_rec_V1 file to steer the data, but the trajectory reconstructions were not good enough for Allan deviation calculations at even short integration times. I did steer the data with the gdn_ql10_903061200_903112245.tsp file which we just received today from Goddard. The orbit reconstructions were not particularly good, but they were sufficient to accurately measure Allan deviation at all but the longest one or two integration times.
