The DSP, as it has been for the past three days, is stuck in the Galileo configuration. I asked the station to reboot and to try various other things. I left messages all over for Sal. Nothing worked. Hopefully, it will be repaired before the pass tomorrow. On the positive side, DSS 15 seems to be going well. The DSP was still in its running but not collecting data mode. That is why you won't see any data for last night either (DOY 099). I was unable to idle it, so the station rebooted. That got it going again, and it seems fine so I am leaving it on its own. Attenuation at DSS 15 should be fine now. (The first measurement will be a bit too high, but the rest will be fine.) Nice surface echo. I even saw the ripple on egress. -Trish -------------------------------------------------------------------------- From ppriest@airmail.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov Sat Apr 10 07:01:15 1999 Received: from thorn.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov (thorn.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov [137.228.90.10]) by magellan.Stanford.EDU (8.8.5/8.8.3) with SMTP id HAA28874; Sat, 10 Apr 1999 07:01:10 -0700 (PDT) Received: by thorn.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov; id HAA27778; Sat, 10 Apr 1999 07:00:52 -0700 Received: from airmail.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov(137.228.96.12) by thorn.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov via smap (V4.2) id xma027455; Sat, 10 Apr 99 07:00:10 -0700 Received: from mmrs.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov (mmrs.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov [137.228.136.10]) by airmail.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov (8.9.1b+Sun/8.9.1) with ESMTP id HAA01108; Sat, 10 Apr 1999 07:00:50 -0700 (PDT) Received: (from ppriest@localhost) by mmrs.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov (8.8.8+Sun/8.8.8) id OAA12034; Sat, 10 Apr 1999 14:00:17 GMT Date: Sat, 10 Apr 1999 14:00:17 GMT From: Patricia Priest 264-859 Message-Id: <199904101400.OAA12034@mmrs.fltops.jpl.nasa.gov> DSS: 15 Content-Type: text Apparently-To: Apparently-To: Content-Length: 1075 Status: RO Orbit: 394i SOE: mm001d.03.tsoe Begin Record: 100/06:41:00 End Record: 100/06:51:00 Last Attenuation Change: before record SNT: Elevation Angle: Orbit: 395e SOE: mm001d.03.tsoe Begin Record: 100/07:24:00 End Record: 100/07:35:00 Last Attenuation Change: SNT: Elevation Angle: Orbit: 395i SOE: mm001d.03.tsoe Begin Record: 100/08:39:00 End Record: 100/08:48:00 Last Attenuation Change: SNT: Elevation Angle: Orbit:396e SOE: mm001d.03.tsoe Begin Record: 100/09:22:00 End Record: 100/09:32:00 Last Attenuation Change: SNT: Elevation Angle: Orbit: 396i SOE: mm001d.03.tsoe Begin Record: 100/10:37:00 End Record: 100/10:46:00 Last Attenuation Change: SNT: Elevation Angle: Orbit: 397e SOE: mm001d.03.tsoe Begin Record: 100/11:19:00 End Record: 100/11:30:00 Last Attenuation Change: SNT: Elevation Angle: Orbit: 397i SOE: mm001d.03.tsoe Begin Record: 100/12:34:00 End Record: 100/12:44:00 Last Attenuation Change: SNT: Elevation Angle: Orbit: 398e SOE: mm001d.03.tsoe Begin Record: 100/13:17:00 End Record: 100/13:28:00 Last Attenuation Change: SNT: Elevation Angle: -------------------------------------------------------------------------- From trish@godzilla.jpl.nasa.gov Mon Apr 12 10:49:18 1999 Received: from godzilla.jpl.nasa.gov (godzilla.jpl.nasa.gov [137.78.177.120]) by magellan.Stanford.EDU (8.8.5/8.8.3) with ESMTP id KAA05259 for ; Mon, 12 Apr 1999 10:49:05 -0700 (PDT) Received: from rodan.jpl.nasa.gov (rodan.jpl.nasa.gov [137.78.177.110]) by godzilla.jpl.nasa.gov (8.9.3/8.9.3) with ESMTP id KAA16186 for ; Mon, 12 Apr 1999 10:48:07 -0700 (PDT) Received: from 137.78.177.117 (trish-mac.jpl.nasa.gov [137.78.177.117]) by rodan.jpl.nasa.gov (8.9.3/8.9.3) with SMTP id KAA13375 for ; Mon, 12 Apr 1999 10:48:59 -0700 (PDT) Message-Id: <199904121748.KAA13375@rodan.jpl.nasa.gov> Date: 12 Apr 99 10:52:48 -0700 From: Trish Priest Subject: RE: Weekend ODS MIA List To: "Dick Simpson 723-3525" X-Mailer: QuickMail Pro 1.5.4 (Mac) X-Priority: 3 Reply-To: Trish Priest MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-Ascii" Content-Length: 870 Status: RO Reply to: RE: Weekend ODS MIA List Dick Simpson 723-3525 wrote: > >Trish: > >Following ODS not found. No one could send it a command to change filters (remotely or at the station). They had to reboot several times and ended up reconfiguring something by hand. They were also having problems with their closed-loop receiver in the meantime, so it took the better part of two orbits to get everything straightened out. -Trish Dick Simpson 723-3525 wrote: > >>Nothing at DSS65 worked until 101-00:21:00 (403i) any data prior to >>that was either not collected or garbage. > > And the underlying problem was that the DSP was stuck in Galileo > mode and would collect data for MGS? -------------------------------------------------------------------------- From joe@nova.Stanford.EDU Tue May 4 14:27:13 1999 Received: from nova.Stanford.EDU (nova.Stanford.EDU [36.10.0.123]) by magellan.Stanford.EDU (8.8.5/8.8.3) with ESMTP id OAA17924 for ; Tue, 4 May 1999 14:27:13 -0700 (PDT) Received: from neptune.Stanford.EDU (neptune.stanford.edu [36.10.0.149]) by nova.Stanford.EDU (8.8.8/8.8.8) with ESMTP id OAA11317; Tue, 4 May 1999 14:27:14 -0700 (PDT) Received: (from joe@localhost) by neptune.Stanford.EDU (8.8.5/8.8.3) id OAA20119; Tue, 4 May 1999 14:26:10 -0700 (PDT) Message-ID: X-Mailer: XFMail 1.2 [p0] on Solaris X-Priority: 3 (Normal) Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit MIME-Version: 1.0 In-Reply-To: <199905042113.OAA17282@magellan.Stanford.EDU> Date: Tue, 04 May 1999 14:26:10 -0700 (PDT) Sender: joe@neptune.Stanford.EDU From: Joe Twicken To: rsimpson@nova.Stanford.EDU, hinson@nova.Stanford.EDU, joe@nova.Stanford.EDU Subject: RE: ODR Notice: /users/z12/procODR/91242005 Content-Length: 1104 Status: R (1) Frequency spurs in all recordings at +-5 Hz approximately -39 to -45 dBc.
