Yesterday we obtained parts of two ATDF files before the circuit timed out. Today, in transferring ODF and Weather data from OSCAR, we noticed the same poor performance, albeit on smaller files. Peak transfer rates are about 1.7 kB/s which means that a typical ATDF would require over 6 hrs if all went well. So the problem appears to be a gateway or local network at JPL rather than the OSCAR computers themselves. We have advised Margie Medina of the problem, and we have submitted ISA Z44213. RMDCT has the option of loading ATDFs into the CDB, though we have never obtained them that way during the MGS era.
