The DSP at SPC 40 reported numerous buffer errors for the DSS 45 occultation on 98/067 and the DSS 34 occultation on 98/068. In the first case there were 15 missing records. There were also about 2 duplicate records for each legitimate record, resulting in a file three times as large as normal. Software appears to have removed the duplicates and filled in the missing records successfully. Joe Twicken's early assessment is that the occultation itself looks "clean". In the second case, we received only 2 minutes 39 seconds of data, not enough to see the occultation. Trish Priest will attempt a retransmission; we will query again after she completes that work. Analysis -------- Joe Twicken has carried out a frequency stability analysis on DSS 15 data from 98/063. His report: I have estimated the USO Allan Deviation for the (approximately) 10 minute period of the occultation #54 recording prior to the beginning of the atmospheric occultation.
