The Maneuver Profile Files (data type MPF under Ancillary Data) are templates prepared for use during Aerobraking Phase 2. Times and delta-V values will be inserted, and this set of files will be used repeatedly to control periapsis altitude. A table of these values (and the files to which they are applied) will be needed to reconstruct these maneuvers. Only a partial table was obtained for Aerobraking Phase 1. Mike Martin of PDS has pronounced one of the test CD's made with our new Ultra-5/Yamaha/GEAR system to be "just great on all platforms, plain vanilla ISO-9660." On that basis, we will plan to use the new system to make future CD's. This also clears the way (time permitting) for us to start copying old CD's as part of our plan to have data collected through solar conjunction delivered to PDS by 15 October. Joe Twicken has been working with Jennifer Caetta to get a working "remote ops" system installed at Stanford. Current attention is on libraries installed on the Stanford SOPC and needed by remote ops, but for which our versions are incompatible with the remote ops software.
