All ingress occultations at DSS 65 have amplitude variations +/-0.3 dB resulting from ramping and receiver filter ripple. All ingress occultations have about 16 dB lower SNR because telemetry is ON. Three of 4 ingress occultations at DSS 15 have amplitude variations of +/-0.2 dB, which are the largest we have seen except at DSS 65. 4 occultations were lost to NADIR tests on the spacecraft. Start times were 1999/055-18:35:00 through 1999/055-21:48:00, inclusive. The NADIR test also interfered with the occultation beginning at 1999/055-22:32:00. By the time the MOT was powered up, egress had already taken place. Attenuation was set too high. The occultation ingress starting at 1999/055-23:45:00 officially occurred before DSS 65 was tracking the spacecraft. It appears, however, that the ingress event was captured. Although the attenuation was set too high, these data may be useful for science.
