This occultation occurred over DSS 45. The signal was between 40-45 dB on the SSI, and the DSP was in the normal configuration. Record times: 032-04:25:00 to 032-04:40:00 One-way Period: 032-04:25:48 to 032-04:39:27 Expected Surface Begin: 032-04:37:27 SOE: p113a.01.soe SPK: spk_i_980130_OD112_122_V1 Script: 98032.45.A112.scr There were no attenuation changes. The station reported fluctuations in the AGC level at the beginning of track -- immediately before the spacecraft went one-way for the occultation. We did not see any fluctuations in the SSI, but the FFTs are averaged. The next occultation occurs at about 3:30 PM PST tomorrow (Sunday) over DSS 15. The data from Occultations #5 and #8 are on the CDR but not on the TDS. This includes the entire data set from occultation #5 (about 2 hours). We had to use DSN predicts, however, because we could not FTP our RS-generated predicts to the rscp at SPC 10. This happend before at SPC 10, but last time, rebooting the DSP corrected the problem -- we thought that it solved the problem once and for all. This time rebooting did not rectify the situation. Tomorrow's occultation is also at DSS-15. Since it is at 10:30 AM, we will use DSN predicts then release the DSP so that tests can be run in order to diagnose and fix the problem. We have not seen this problem at the other stations or at DTF 21. The next occultation occurs at 10:28 AM PST Monday morning. The current orbit period is 19 hours. -Trish
