Since this was the "second prime" orbit in the sequence, the signal disappeared 1 minute 10 seconds after it was expected to disappear according to the SOE. The updated OPTG file was correct. Since the timing error was less than 225 seconds, a new sequence was not generated. When the signal appeared, it was not centered. A frequency offset of 100 Hz was entered at 10:22:09. This was unexpected. New OPTG file and SPK files are produced even if the sequence is not updated. The latest SPK file was used to create the predicts; however, a 1 minute 10 second offset in the predicts is approximately 100 Hz. Re ephemeris error on Occn #48: Since we're recording with 2500 Hz bandwidth, I wouldn't worry if the signal is off by a couple hundred Hz. In this case, it was off by 100 Hz, then drifted another 150 Hz before the occultation; but all was well within the passband, and we can take out the errors in software here. There's a certain amount of judgment here (and hindsight is often useful when regrouping from bad decisions). But I wouldn't bother with frequency offsets if it looks as though the signal will stay within the central 50% of the passband during the recording interval. Others may choose to voice contrary opinions ... Apparently there was an error in the reconstructed periapsis data -- which is why the signal was not centered.
