The spacecraft will transmit one-way beginning 10 minutes before expected atmosphere begin as usual, and the one-way signal will continue 5 minutes after the expected ingress (surface begin) time. Dave asked for 2.5 minutes; I asked for 2.5 or 3 minutes; and the spacecraft team said that there is no power problem anymore, so give them 5 minutes. Both ingress and egress were recorded. Sal Abbate ran some tests immediately preceeding this pass. He suggested that we use channel 3 instead of channel 1 to see if the signal level increases. There should be no difference in the ODS format. Ingress: Record Times: 092-10:00:00 to 092-10:14:00 One-way Times: 092-10:00:54 to 092-10:13:48 Expected Surface Begin: 092-10:11:47 SNT: 29.93 SPK: spk_i_980401_OD212_240_V1 SOE: p209a.01.soe Script: 98092.65.a213.scr There was one attenuation change at 10:01:30. Egress (LGA, carrier-only): Record Times: 092-10:51:00 to 092-11:15:30 Expected egress: 092-10:52:19 Periapsis: 092-11:00:16 No script was used for egress. No attenuation changes. The DSP issued a critical warning at 11:11:30 that "Readout POCA time out of sync with FTS." Therefore, there was probably a sawtooth after this point. Hopefully, there is no sawtooth before 11:11:30. The next occultation for which we will be collecting data occurs at 1:30 AM PST Friday at DSS 65.
