This will happen roughly once per day until July 8. Just before each periapsis pass earmarked for radio science data collection, the switch is made on the spacecraft to the low gain antenna (carrier only) and the stations are instructed (in the station SOE) to acquire the downlink signal 1-way. The expected signal level is -168 dBm. Ground stations are expected to gradually loose the signal from the low gain antenna approximately 50-60 minutes after first acquisition (as the spacecraft maneuvers for the roll-out). The station SOE's and predicts show the times and configuration for the mode change to HGA after the periapsis pass is completed. The approximate times for the radio science gravity passes are: 98-155/12:00 - 14:00 98-156/11:15 - 13:15 98-157/10:30 - 12:30 98-158/09:45 - 11:45 98-159/09:00 - 11:00 98-160/20:00 - 22:00 98-161/19:15 - 21:15 If there are any questions, feel free to call or email or page at any time. Unlike the April measurements, instructions for the station to acquire the one-way LGA signal appear in the SOE. The RSST will be monitoring the first several passes to make sure everything goes smoothly, but we do not have to give the station instructions. Times of interest (all UTC ERT): 155-12:28:31 switch to LGA 155-12:38:11 receiver in-lock 155-12:39:08 ISH - begin slew to NADIR 155-13:11:08 Periapsis 344 155-13:23:10 ISH - begin rollout 155-13:27:35 receiver out of lock 155-13:55:02 switch back to HGA Please note that the LGA data were flagged 2-way until around 13:22:00 or so. The data were actually one-way data. After 13:22, they were flagged correctly. The next gravity pass is Periapsis 346 (approximately 156-11:45:00 UTC ERT). -Trish
