The Ops Chief, Jerry, and the personnel at SPC 60 put the DSP in a link without a spacecraft (out of everyone's way) so that Sal could have the station and I try several things to get the system back up and running. Our efforts were to no avail, however. Jerry and the SPC 60 personnel went above and beyond the call and deserve our thanks. Maintenance personnel are not expected at SPC 60 until Tuesday. I don't think that we can call them in specially, but I am looking into it -- especially with thoughts to Mapping. Joe set me straight this afternoon, but too late to pull back all my e-mails (including the health report). >SPC 10 came up one-way. They then turned there transmitter >off about 2 minutes 30 seconds late. Therefore, we were two-way >for ingress. I kept recording through the brief two-way period hoping >that the spacecraft would go one-way again, but it did not. If I understand your message and my plot, it appears we have about 30 minutes of one-way (because SPC 60 had transmitter problems) followed by about 10 minutes of two-way (which we see as noise) followed by 2-3 minutes of one-way (leading up to the ingress). So the spacecraft DID go one-way; it's just such a short spurt that it probably won't be useful for an atmospheric profile. On the other hand, that's a good baseline for USO statistics. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- From joe@nova.Stanford.EDU Tue Dec 15 12:19:38 1998 Received: from nova.stanford.edu (nova.Stanford.EDU [36.10.0.123]) by magellan.Stanford.EDU (8.8.5/8.8.3) with ESMTP id MAA02661 for ; Tue, 15 Dec 1998 12:19:37 -0800 (PST) Received: from neptune.Stanford.EDU (neptune.Stanford.EDU [36.10.0.149]) by nova.stanford.edu (8.8.8/8.8.4) with ESMTP id MAA11279; Tue, 15 Dec 1998 12:19:47 -0800 (PST) Received: (from joe@localhost) by neptune.Stanford.EDU (8.8.5/8.8.3) id MAA29151; Tue, 15 Dec 1998 12:19:46 -0800 (PST) Message-ID: X-Mailer: XFMail 1.2 [p0] on Solaris X-Priority: 3 (Normal) Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit MIME-Version: 1.0 In-Reply-To: <199812151850.KAA00055@magellan.Stanford.EDU> Date: Tue, 15 Dec 1998 12:19:46 -0800 (PST) Sender: joe@neptune.Stanford.EDU From: Joe Twicken To: hinson@nova.Stanford.EDU, rsimpson@nova.Stanford.EDU Subject: RE: ODR Notice: /users/z21/procODR/83491813 Content-Length: 1416 Status: R Note that occultation #856e (83472011.ODR) has a sawtooth problem with 800 millihertz magnitude at the time of the ramp rate change (20:20:20).
