(I think that I warned you about this.) Anyway, as a result, we do not have the DSP for the DSS 25 pass tonight so we cannot collect data for orbits 950, 951, and 952. Also, the last occultation measurement for this "season" will either be orbit 960 or 961. -Trish -------------------------------------------------------------------------- From trish@godzilla.jpl.nasa.gov Wed Dec 30 09:38:05 1998 Received: from godzilla.jpl.nasa.gov (godzilla.jpl.nasa.gov [137.78.177.120]) by magellan.Stanford.EDU (8.8.5/8.8.3) with ESMTP id JAA29763 for ; Wed, 30 Dec 1998 09:38:05 -0800 (PST) Received: from rodan.jpl.nasa.gov (rodan.jpl.nasa.gov [137.78.177.110]) by godzilla.jpl.nasa.gov (8.8.8+Sun/8.8.5) with ESMTP id JAA08037 for ; Wed, 30 Dec 1998 09:38:05 -0800 (PST) Received: from 137.78.177.117 (trish-mac.jpl.nasa.gov [137.78.177.117]) by rodan.jpl.nasa.gov (8.8.5/8.8.5) with SMTP id JAA03315 for ; Wed, 30 Dec 1998 09:38:04 -0800 (PST) Message-Id: <199812301738.JAA03315@rodan.jpl.nasa.gov> Date: 30 Dec 98 09:39:51 -0800 From: Trish Priest Subject: RE: Occs 959 960 961 To: "Dick Simpson 723-3525" X-Mailer: QuickMail Pro 1.5.4 (Mac) X-Priority: 3 Reply-To: Trish Priest MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-Ascii" Content-Length: 608 Status: RO Reply to: RE: Occs 959 960 961 They just threw a curve ball in the weekly reset meeting. They want to make sure that eclipses are "hard body" when they implement the next week's reset parameters, so they are going to wait an extra day to change the reset parameters. They will be using this week's parameters through orbit 967. I don't have the DSP in the link after the DSS 34 pass today. Cassini has the DSP for SPC 10. I could get SPC 60 tonight and maybe something over SPC 40 tomorrow morning. I have now had a chance to look at the plots for these ODR's: (1) The processing for 83641524.ODR is not valid. The tuning predicts were not good and the carrier drifted out of the PREPFND filter band. The ingress occultation was lost as a result. I will have to reprocess this ODR with a smaller PREPFND decimation factor. (2) The 83641903.ODR recording has a 200 mHz sawtooth. (3) The 83650558.ODR failed because of a FRO after the carrier was switched to one-way. The PREPFND filter was centered on the original carrier frequency, and the carrier was lost in our processing after the FRO. I can reprocess this ODR, and hardwire the PREPFND filter start bin. (4) The 83650935.ODR processing is not valid also, for the same reason as (1).
