This document is appropriate for orbits included in this volume, but may also include orbits from previous or later volumes. Two types of information can be found in this document: blocks of TES orbits and time entries, followed by the corresponding p*.img notes. TES data is organized by orbit which begins at the MGS descending equator crossing (times given in UTC). Orbits are labeled here with the TES orb number which is equivalent to ock (see obs.fmt OBJECT = ORBIT_COUNTER_KEEPER) except where deviations are noted. TES operations during a particular orbit are controlled by the p*.img file available onboard; key information from this file is provided in the p*.img notes. Missing data is described per entry as 'No DATA' if all data for the orbit is lost, or as 'No XXX' if all the data in a table is lost for the orbit. Seven tables (XXX) are expected for all orbits: ATM, BOL, GEO, OBS, POS, RAD, and TLM. Three TES tables (CMP, IFG, and LMB) are rarely available, so their inclusion is, noted rather than their exclusion; for example entry #10443, 'Includes IFG'." short packets except for space/reference sets 3) for realtime orbits: full spatial, full spectral for entire orbit - long packets - maximum 4 interferograms near subsolar point, detector 2, one minute between interferograms [for mini_tes] 4) limb: all forward looking, space, +75 degrees, limb set (100 km height, 1/2 degree steps, padded by one look at surface angle); - all short packets 5) limbs every 10 degrees, alternate orbits (a and b) 6) continuous limb look - with 3 nadir looks between set for once per week repeat cont_limb 90S - 30N (ocks 3975, 4059) 7) EPF mirror angles = -62,-60,-45,0,45,60,62; 5 icks at each angle 8) 1 N-polar, 1 S-polar (alb_ref orbit), 1 nightside epf (orbit 11) per day; 1 dayside epf per orbit - steps from -75 lat to +75 lat in 15 deg lat steps to cycle through dayside completely in a single day 9) dense epf- one dense epf targeted every third day, - pnt_angles = +-60,+-58,+-55,+-54,+-50 etc to 0 degrees - it will take ~ 1 month to cycle through the full dayside latitudinal coverage (75S, 60S, 45S, 30S, 15S, 0, 15N, 30N, 45N, 60N, 75N) 10) space_ref_long twice per day on a single orbit: once in noise free zone (south pole) and once during Solar Array motion (nightside) - added additional set on orbit 9 (same places as above), hope to have one set during HGA motion and one during HGA parked time 11) mosaics - latitude band set 5 x 13, single scan, 1 per day cycling through latitudes -12, -9, -6, -3, 0, 3 attempting 1.5 lat x 1 long degree coverage 12) moved limb looks out of solar array motion periods; times change by ~3 icks/day, update every upload 13) 14 days worth of orbits loaded - trying to avoid conflict with MCO MOI and critical start of aerobraking
