In the DND data, records in 2013-01, 2013-02, 2014-12, and 2015-12 have zeros in the GRS_ORBIT_NUMBER column. April 1, 2021. The method for processing neutron data has been improved to improve data quality include data that was unnecessarily excluded previously. During validation, two errors were found in the reprocessed DND data that will be addressed in future releases: 1. In the DND data, 39 days have invalid values in the PIXEL_DURATION column, e.g. very large negative numers. 2. In the DND data, records in 2013-01, 2013-02, 2014-12, and 2015-12 have zeros in the GRS_ORBIT_NUMBER column. January 4, 2021. The time and spatial data used to create the column MARS_SOL in the neutron and HEND spectra data products was incomplete, the result being a zero-valued MARS_SOL in every row of those products. Release 44. ------------------------- This release covers data acquired between October 1 and December 31, 2012. The GRS Gamma subsystem is offline. No AND and DND data are available because too many samples were off-nadir due to pointing for data relaying. The HEND instrument has been reconfigured, causing a gap in the AHD. The first portion of AHD and DHD data in this release were collected in the first configuration, the latter portion in the second configuration. Thus, there is a gap in AHD data from solar longitudes 185.5 to 206.5 due to changes made to the instrument operating mode; there were no data collected during that change-over period. DHD data have been prepared in similar way as before and have the same format, but now the low and high channels of stilben time profiles include not only neutrons but also particles. AHD data are also very similar and have the same format, but instead of neutron maps of low and high channels of stilben there are maps of particles measured in low and high channels of stilben. Release 34. ---------------------------- This release covers data acquired between April 1 and June 30, 2010. No gamma spectra EDRs or pulser spectra EDRs are included in this release. Release 33. ---------------------------- This release covers data acquired between January 1 and March 31, 2010. No gamma spectra EDRs or pulser spectra EDRs are included in this release. The GRS Gamma subsystem is still offline. The Neutron Spectrometer and HEND components are operating normally. Errata for EDR product 2010/20100119/NEUTRON_SPECTRA_20100119.DAT: The first record has an incorrect time tag of 2010-01-19T12:38:08.239Z. The next record has a time tag of 2010-01-19T00:00:07.176Z. July 1, 2010. Release 32. ------------------------- This release covers data acquired between October 1 and December 31, 2009. No gamma spectra EDRs or pulser spectra EDRs are included in this release. The GRS Gamma subsystem is offline with the components powered but with no high voltage bias applied on the crystal. The device stopped responding to Gamma Rays on 9/07/2009. Recent activities to re-establish nominal operation by power cycling the subsystem have not been successful. Present indications are that the front stage amplifier may be damaged preventing nominal operation although other explanations are still viable. Due to commanding moratoriums no activities are presently scheduled to reestablish nominal operation until program direction. The GRS neutron detectors are functioning nominally and completely unaffected by this shutdown. Any further recovery work would also leave these devices functioning nominally with no interruptions due to the complete separation of the hardware components of each of the subsystems. April 1, 2010. Release 31. -------------------------- This release covers data acquired between July 1 and September 30, 2009. January 5, 2010. Release 30. ---------------------------- This release covers data acquired between April 1 and June 30, 2009. A spacecraft roll of 10 degrees caused the neutron spectrometer instrument pointing to be off nadir. As a result there is no derived (DND) or averaged (AND) neutron data for the period May 11 to June 30, 2009. The gamma ray spectrometer high voltage was ramped from 2500 to 4000 during the period covered by this release. As a result of this and the spacecraft roll, there is no summed gamma spectra (SGS) for seasons 15, 16, and 17 (through May 21). October 1, 2009. In a few records in the February data files, the value for Ls (solar longitude) is erroneously given as zero. Cruise and aerobraking data have zeroes in fields for several geometry-related parameters, such as orbit number, latitude, longitude, spacecraft position and velocity vectors. This is because either the parameter does not apply for these mission phases, or pointing information was not available. 3. The sub_scpos_mars column in the HEND spectra and gamma spectra data files has values of zero. This field is currently not used and is not being computed. Instead, use latitude and longitude values for the sub spacecraft position. 4. The calibration report is preliminary and will be revised.
