This document is the Software Interface Specification (SIS) for
the Archival Tracking Data File (ATDF, or sometimes the TDF),
which was produced by JPL multi-mission support personnel for
use in determining spacecraft trajectories, gravity fields
affecting them, and radio propagation conditions. This version
of the SIS (and TDF) was delivered to the Voyagerr Radio Science
Team. The typical TDF has a single File Identification Logical
Record (Table), one Transmitter Logical Record (Table),
a Tracking Data Table of many records, and one or more
padding records to fill out a data block. Each TDF logical
record contains 288 bytes; 28 logical records are packed into
each block of 8064 bytes. Each TDF is an integer number of
these blocks.

The external_source_product_identifier is formed from the Stanford
legacy tape ID, an ASCII colon character, the directory ID, and the file name.

File Identification Table
0
1
The File Identification
Table identifies the type of data, the spacecraft,
and the date and time at which the file was created
It is made up of one File Identification Record.
On some ATDFs, the File Identification Table may be
omitted. When present, it is the first record in
the file.

41
The contents of the File Identification Record packed into 31 bytes. The final
257 bytes of the record are not used and their contents are set to 0. 'Items'
mentioned in the label description are those in Software Interface Specification
(SIS). Bit field numbering is continuous, but some 'items' that are set to 0 in
the data records have been combined with neghboring items, so their numbering
may not be continuous.
