MOLA IEGDRs
Initial Experiment Gridded Data
Records
The MOLA Initial
Experiment Gridded Data Records (IEGDRs) are preliminary
versions of the Mission Experiment Gridded Data Records
(MEGDRs), global
topographic maps of Mars. The IEGDRs were generated
early in the mission, while the MEGDRs include data
accumulated over the entire mission.
The IEGDR data set has been superseded
by the MEGDR data set.
We recommend the use of the MEGDR data set rather than the IEGDR data set, as it is more mature,
incorporates more data, and is available at higher
resolutions. However, the IEGDR data set is archived
offline and is available on request to
geosci@wunder.wustl.edu.
