Prototype Mars Rovers

Working with the Long Range Rover Task Group at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, the Geosciences Node is exploring ways of archiving and distributing data from field tests of prototype Mars rovers such as Rocky 7 and FIDO, more advanced versions of the Sojourner rover on the Mars Pathfinder mission. Lessons learned and tools developed from these tests have been useful in preparing for the MER mission.
