The Mars Orbiter Camera (MOC) generates
images of the Martian surface with narrow-angle and
wide-angle cameras. MOC images are produced by the MOC Science
Team and archived by the
PDS Imaging Node.
The MGS/MOC team is
scheduled to deliver image data to the PDS at six-month
intervals with deliveries in April and October. The data
provided in a given scheduled delivery cover the
observation period from seven to thirteen months prior
to the scheduled delivery date. The time between data
acquisition and public release is used for internal
validation and preparation by the MOC Team.
The PDS relies on Internet services
to make the data available, first through the use of
FTP (File Transfer Protocol) access and then through
the PDS Imaging Node's MOC image web site (http://ida.wr.usgs.gov).
The table below lists when and where data can be
accessed through the PDS.
