NEAR - Near-Earth Asteroid Rendezvous

NEAR was launched in 1996 and in 2000 became the first mission to orbit an asteroid, the large near-Earth asteroid Eros. It remained in orbit for a year and landed on Eros in 2001.

Most data sets from the NEAR mission are archived at the PDS Planetary Plasma Interactions (PPI) Node and the PDS Small Bodies Node. The NASA Navigation and Ancillary Information Facility (NAIF) maintains the NEAR SPICE archive. The Geosciences Node has one NEAR data set:
