MRO: SHARAD

June 8, 2009. SHARAD data for MRO Release 8 includes EDR and RDR data acquired between August 9 and November 8, 2008. 

SHARAD (Shallow Radar) is a subsurface radar sounder that looks for water and ice in the first few hundred meters of the subsurface of Mars. SHARAD data sets are produced by the SHARAD Science Team based at the University of Rome, Italy.
